Look how happy my refrigerator looks!. See my See's , See my Birthday Calendar, See my cute refrigerator magnets of little guatamalan ladies in native costumes! The View from our balcony of the pretty flowers in the trees.
A picture of some pretty great men cooking dinner on the roof of our apartment building for their beautiful wives on Mother's Day. Elders Cazier, Fillmore, Tomkinson, Tilly, McArthur, Graff, and Blackburn and then the wives Sandy McCarthur, Joanne Fillmore, Susanne Tomkinson, Rexene Tilly, Adele Blackburn, Sister Cazier, and Sister Graff. As you can see some of us haven't bought our native Guatamalan dresses yet.
The Tomkinsons were gone for the week with Dr. Calls group to Solola and other villages so we worked in the mornings and Paul ran errands and did city business in the afternoons. Wednesday morning Paul taught 3 hygiene classes to the different age groups at Tio Juans Boy's orphanage. I had the important job of holding up the stop watch while he taught them how to brush their teeth for two long minutes. Boy was I good. However, Paul did a pretty good job too.
Friday Morning, we checked the teeth of the new group of missionaries at the MTC (CCM).
The real highlight of the week, however, was having a visit from my sons Brian and Parker and Parker's brother-in-law Matt Sommers. They have begun the process of starting a foundation in order to help a village. They came to find a village that they feel they can help and one that would want to get involved in raising their level of health and economy.
Just as we were finishing, with the missionaries, we got a phone call from Mat. Parker and he had their times mixed up and he came in a day early. So we went to the airport to pick him up planning to run errands and do some cleaning up at the clinic. Unfortunately, when we picked him up we found that our car was over-heating once again. So instead of doing what we needed to do at the clinic and taking Mat out to lunch, we stopped where we were, did our errands at Price Saver and had a delicious Price Saver Hot Dog for lunch and then once again headed for our apartment and the garage with our car. We had been planning to have the boys take the car, so Paul rented one for them. We didn't want them running around all over in parts unknown on public transportation. That can be very risky here. The next morning, early, Parker arrived and we all headed out in a rented car to the clinic to work on missionaries with Dr. Call's group. We left there around 11:00 to go pick up Brian at the airport and his flight was on time so we went to lunch at the local Chicken Shack, chosen by Mat (good choice Mat). Then we went to Tigo and put chips in the phones Parker had brought with him and then on to the Central Market. I bought my cute magnets and we saw some fairly unsavory mean and food products and some fun tourist attractions. We picked up the car once again at the garage only now we have a brand new radiator. We had a nice evening with the boys, ate enchiladas, and caught up on the game scores, of course.
Sunday I made rolls and Paul made breakfast and we loaded up the boys and started off to church--but no, not without a little more excitement with our wonderful car. The alarm went off and couldn't be stopped so we pulled the wires and then the car wouldn't start so we once again got a ride with the Tomkinsons. The boys were getting ready to leave after sacrament meeting to start their search for a village to begin a project and there was a group of surgeons there on their way to work for a week. One of the surgeons had just finished His ENT residency with our nephey, David Archibald who is Parker's closest Cousin. That was quite a fun connection to make. So the boys left and we finished up our meetings with a Young Women's New Beginnings. It has been a great day!

Great Pictures for mother's day. Who would have thought you would have some of your kids visit then? Thanks for the update. Quit saying you are worried about getting fat, you are tiny. Have a good week.
I'm so happy you had two kids with you for mother's day! You look SOOO good. When are you ever going to start looking your age? Really, you look beautiful.
Glad you got those sees!
