This was such a fun day. I handed out the gift bags to all the girls. They had so much fun discovering what was in them. Thanks to all my sisters, sisters-in law, daughters and daughters- in law, and Sadie and her friends. The first thing the girls did was put their flowers in their hair that Sadie and her friends made.
When I went out to go home, they were all outside looking through their bags. The next day, they were all painting their fingernails.

It occurred to me that it would be fun to have some little items for them to choose from each time they come to the clinic to get work done. I don't know if it would work for an eagle project for one of my grandsons. They could be put in a duffel bag and brought down by the brothers. They range in age from 7 to 18. We had one of our volunteers bring down some things he found at a swap meet one time but they are all gone now.
Ideas: McDonald toys that sit around and collect dust after being played with once or twice, chap stick (boys and girls) combs, brushes, key chains, (it's hard to think of little things boys would want) (no knives) dental floss, soft tooth brushes (never hard-they are very bad for teeth and gums) small tablets, pens and pencils, stickers, nail polish, lip gloss, hair things for girls, lipstick, lotion, basically just little items-anything you can think of. It could be two eagle projects or young women projects because this clinic will be here for a long time and we will always eventually run out. Let me know if you need a letter requesting the project.

I WISH they would approve this kind of a project for our next eagle. They are very strict about what they will accept here. Bummer. Sounds like fun to watch all those girls enjoying their gifts.
So fun. I don't think I've told you Aunt Joanne, but I really like your hair short. You looked very pretty in all the pictures from the wedding.
I mean I know being a missionary is about more than being pretty, but it's a fun perk!
Hope you're well.
Love,
Susanna
