A Couple of Great Days

On Saturday, Paul ran a 10k with some of the girls from the ward. It was a benefit run for child cancer patients in the valley called London's Run out at Scneff Farms. He made it but he is still a little sore.

Paul planned a great date day last Thursday, but I forgot my camera. We got up in the morning, exercised, then took the Tahoe in to get the seats repaired. From there we went to the light rail station, jumped on the train to the Arizona Center in Phoenix, walked arount the center and saw a movie. If you are not over 50, you probably won't want to see the movie. It was "Last Chance Harvey" with Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson--an old folks romance. We liked it and the acting was great. After a great lunch at a place called "11:30", we got back on the train to Mesa, picked up the Tahoe and headed home. A great day!
Books we have recently read or are currently enjoying "Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortenson; "The Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell; "My Descent Into Death" by Howard Storm ; "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell; "Same Kind of Different As Me" by Ron Hall ; "If Life Were Easy, It Would Be Hard" by Sheri Dew

Great job Dad! Loved your running shirt! I'm very impressed.
I even more impressed with your fun date! Does that count as your valentine's date or do you have to come up with another great idea? Thanks for letting me know about some good books, but you need to leave a review of them!:)

Was the run inspired at all by that book Paul just read? We took the light rail to Mill in Tempe. Too bad it is so useless in Mesa.
